Nails of the Week: Barry M's Blue Moon

I think it's safe to say that Barry M's Blue Moon is my favourite nail polish! It is the most beautiful pale blue, with a very subtle (you can't really notice at all) purple/blue shimmer! I'd say it nicely compliments my skin tone and is a very wearable colour that will go with most outfits. However, the only downside to this product is that it's not very quick trying, neither is it very opaque, so will take you around three applications. But aside from that, I really do love it!

Nails of the Week: Leopard Print Nails

These crazy, wild things are something I did myself, and let me tell you, they are no trouble at all!

So to create this design on your nails you will need:
From left to right: A base colour (I used MNY Shade 445), a colour for the spots (I used Rimmel 60 Seconds Shade 530 Star Dust), a black nail art pen (I used Models Own Nail Art Pen) and a top coat (I used Rimmel Lycra Pro Professional Finish).

If you do not have a black nail pen, use any black nail polish and a tooth pick or the end of a bobby pin to create the fine lines. Also, feel free to use any set of colours you desire!

-So the first step is to paint on your base colour.

-Next, add dots with your chosen colour. These can vary in size and they do not have to be neat! Sorry the pictures so blurry, but I think you get the idea!

-Now add on the black squiggly lines. It's sort of difficult to explain where you should put them, but the picture below is pretty self explanatory.

Finally, add your top-coat and you have an adorable, quick and easy manicure!

The 'Weeks of Winter' Series

Winter Essentials!
With winter being my favourite season, I am especially excited to start this new series. I will be covering a range of things that I personally consider to be 'must haves'. This is anything from scarves, hats, gloves, knit wear, boots and cosy socks! But in addition to this, I will also be sharing with you  Christmas gift guides and anything else I can think of! I'm really excited to begin this endeavour and incase this is not your cup of hot cocoa, then I'll still be keeping up with my normal posts! Also, if there is absolutely anything winter-related you want me to cover, then please comment below and let me know (ooh, that rhymes)!

How To Make Your Own Earrings Holder!

So, this is just a quick (it took me literally 4 minutes), almost free to make and super easy earring holder!

So to create your own earring holder, you will need:
-A piece of corrugated card (the size depends on how many earrings you will be hanging)
-A piece of wallpaper or wrapping paper big enough to fully cover your card. Personally, I would suggest using wrapping paper, because when you pierce the earring through, it is less likely to create a rip. Also, you can get free samples of it at in any wallpaper retailer. Top tip, pick a design that will suit the location you are putting it!
-Sticky tape
-Scissors

1. So to begin, cut the corrugated card board to your desired size and shape. I chose a square so that I would be able to stand it up straight and rest it against a wall.

2. Cut a sheet of wrapping paper or wallpaper that will fit your piece of card.

3. Place your card on the sheet in the centre then from each corner of your square or rectangle, cut out a square so when you stick it down it will not be too bulky.

4. Stick the wrapping paper or wallpaper in place using some sticky tape.

5. Now just pierce each of your earrings through the card (this should be very easy) and once in, push on the earring-back to hold it in place.

Et Voila! An easy, stylish, affordable way to display your earrings!

I'd love to get some feedback, and see what you think! Also, if you do end up making this earring holder, I would love to see pictures and finally, please comment below with any blog post suggestions that you would like to see!

-Snow Fairy Lip Tint £4.50
-Lil' Lush Pud Bath Ballistic £1.95

So now the brand new stuff!

1. Golden Wonders Bath Ballistic £3.25

"First take some time to shake it, listen to the little rattle from within and try to imagine what’s in there. Then drop it in your water and gaze in wonderment as gold turns to yellow, turns to blue and spits out soluble stars along the way...Long standing customers will recognise the smell of Champagne Snow Showers. Newer customers might like to know that the smell is of a light fizzing champagne cocktail, and contains sweet orange oil, cognac oil and lime oil...This ballistic contains edible gold lustre and soluble paper stars – so there’ll be no sparkly bits left to clean out of your bath afterwards."

2. Abombinaball Bath Ballistic £2.95

"Our big ,shy snow monster ballistic, with a scent of peppermint oil, vanilla absolute and orange oil...He’ll erupt in your bathwater first in a burst of golden yellow that leaves your bathwater an electric green. He then evades capture as he goes around your bath fizzing and giving off puffs of fine white foam. Just when you think you’ve worked out what he is and where he’s coming from, he suddenly lets off jets of blue slipstream and makes haste across your bath, suddenly disappearing from wherever it was he came."

3. Rocketeer Bath Ballistic £2.75
"Smelling of those childhood candy sticks, this ballistic orbits your bath whilst its jet packs give out a fizzing slip stream of yellow. Watch as your blue rocket burns up in your bath's atmosphere and leaves a sprinkling of shiny silver lustre in the green bathwater."

4. Candy Mountain Bubble Bar £2.35
"Every year we give our best selling Creamy Candy Bar bubble bar a special outfit for Xmas. Last year it was in the shape of a cane, this year we’ve turned it into a little swirly mountain peak.
But whatever the shape and look, the thing that never changes is that lovely vanilla and candy floss smell and the mountains of soft bubbles."

5. Magic Wand Bubble Bar £4.95
"A reusable bubble bar star that gives mounds of sweet-smelling foam. This is a solid version of our best selling Snow Fairy shower gel for those who prefer to bath. The magic of this version is that you can wave your wand under the water until you have the amount of bubbles you want – then you just stash it someone safe to dry off, ready for when you next bath. We’ve included pink ribbon and a bell, because if you are going to wave your wand, then you need some added drama and special effects! You should get several baths from this, depending on how much bubbly magic you want in your bath. Each one will leave you smelling of candy floss and pear drops. Baths don’t get more yummy or more girly than this. "

6. Superstar Bubble Bar £2.95
"You’ll get all the usual mounds of foam with Superstars, but you’ll also get a lovely strawberry fragrance that is lighthearted and fruity – making you reminisce of strawberry ice creams at the seaside, strawberry jam scones on a picnic, or balsamic strawberries at a Gordon Ramsey restaurant...
But also hidden inside that lovely strawberry fragrance are angelica root, black pepper and celery seed oils - all used in traditional medicine to combat stress, exhaustion and depression. We’ve put them in here so that whilst the strawberry gives you cheer, the other oils will clear your thoughts, lift your spirits and boost your confidence."

7. Three Gold Rings Bubble Bar £3.75
"A luxury foaming bath of gold and vanilla...
It’s swirling waters of shimmering gold will mesmerise you, whilst it’s rich, layered vanilla fragrance will wrap you in a comforting hug. This product contains Simon’s fine vanilla fragrance of myrrh resin, sweet orange oil and vanilla absolute that he developed for our Crème Anglaise body lotion."

8. Nothern Lights Soap £3.25 per 100g
"an electric, fresh pine and lime perfume"

9. The Melting Snow Man (I think it's a bath melt) £1.95

"Exquisitely fragranced with a blend of oils containing vanilla absolute and sweet wild orange, giving him a deep marzipan fragrance with notes of rich fruit, reminiscent of Christmas cake and figgy puddings. Which means he smells exactly the same as our bestselling Snowcake soap.
But if it isn’t enough to smell of our most popular Christmas fragrance, he’s also got a body made of water-softening bicarb of soda, cocoa butter and shea butter. This means that when the heat gets to him and he finally melts away, he fizzes those wonderful butters through your bathwater, leaving you soft and moisturised. What a way to go !"

10. Candy Cane Soap £2.75 per 100g
"All the fun of the fair. A candy cane inspired soap, smelling of sweets and mint rock. Just don’t be licking it!"

11. The Jilted Elf Shower Jelly £3.95 (100g), £7.95 (240g)
"With an infusion of figs, honey and seaweed gel to soften your skin and make you silky to the touch. Then to make you smell intoxicating and irrisistable, we have a multi-layered sophisticated fruity Christmas cocktail fragrance of vodka and essential oils, including cinnamon leaf oil, grapefruit oil and ginger oil."

12. Chilli Tingle Lip Tint £4.75
"First there was some lovely dried chillies, which we thought would be great for stimulating the lips and waking up the blood supply in winter. Then there’s hoja santa – an aromatic herb known as ‘sacred leaf’. He also brought back annatto seeds, which have such a strong natural red colour in their seeds that the bush is known as the Lipstick Tree...All that was left for us to do was make a lovely moisturising base of jojoba oil and our chocolate-smelling fair trade cocoa butter. Then add some candelillia wax and japan wax to seal the lips and give a barrier against the winter weather and to hold that lovely colour on the lips."

13. Pow Wow Lip Scrub £4.75
"As you start to rub this on your lips the popping candy in this scrub makes using this an event. You’ll get the snap, crackle and pop effect as soon as you get going.
Then, whilst you’re enjoying the sound effects, you can feel the organic jojoba oil, rose hip oil and argan oil smooth and soften the lips. There is goji berry powder in here too, because it is so nutritious. But because this is our party season scrub, Helen’s put ginseng root powder and caffeine powder in here to keep you going all night."

14. Celebrate Lip Tint £4.75
"We’ve taken almond oil, organic jojoba oil and camellia oil to moisturise your lips and keep them safe from the winter weather. Then we added icing sugar, cognac oil, grapefruit oil and lemon oil to make it taste great. We then added a blend of colours to give a subtle pink tint to the lips and stop you looking washed out in the cold. Then we finished it off with a little topping of bubbles, in the form of popping candy and edible gold lustre. Who’d have thought a lip tint could be this much fun?" Apparently it tastes of pink champagne!

Lush have DEFINITELY have stepped up their game this year, and the products sound fantastic; I cannot wait to have a whiff of them!
